Hunting & Fishing Information

The De Smet area is home to countless acres of land open for hunting & fishing.

Local lakes include Lake Thompson, Lake Henry, Dry lake 1, Dry Lake 2, Lake Whitewood, and Spirit lake. Nearby Lake Thompson is South Dakota's Largest Natural Lake, covering more than 18,000 Acres. This is great for catching walleyes, perch and northern pike.

Game Cleaning & Dog Kennels

There is a free game cleaning station in the garage with freezer space and a dumpster. We also offer free dog kennels in heated and secured garage. Or you may bring your own portable kennels and place them in the garage. Pets are allowed in some rooms with pre registration and charge for per pet- per night -per room.
